Music therapy

Music therapy is a therapeutic strategy used to support individuals with diverse needs to meet their musical and nonmusical goals. Music therapy is a proven research-based field built upon relationships, music, and individual preferences.

CMS board-certified music therapists work with children and adults with many diagnoses including: autism, down syndrome, developmental needs, ADHD, anxiety, depression, traumatic brain injury/stroke, dementia, and many more.

At CMS, our board-certified music therapists work with clients through music, either individually or with a group, to support their strengths, work towards their goals, and support their need areas. We support people with varying diagnoses, neurodiversities, and differing abilities through a person-centered approach, backed by up-to-date research and individualized strategies.
