Introducing string faculty Helen Butler-Ceppaglia. Both a violinist and fiddler, she is a versatile musician with multi-instrument & multi-genre proficiencies. She earned a Masters of Music Education from SUNY Fredonia and holds a NYS Teaching Certificate in Music. A teacher and mentor with organizations including Sportsmen’s Americana Music Foundation and Buffalo Bluegrass Youth Ensemble, she has also taught Orchestra and General Music in Buffalo Public Schools for twenty years, including ten years as the Director of Orchestras at Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts. Helen is a 2009 Inductee into the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame with the band McCarthyizm. She has performed with local orchestras including Orchard Park Symphony Orchestra and Southern Tier Symphony and has performed in many top local venues including Town Ballroom, Ironworks, The Tralf, and Kavinoky Theatre where she also appeared on stage.
