Ed Kramer

Ed Kramer has been a member of the piano faculty at CMS since 1972. In addition to teaching at CMS, he is organist and choir director for Grace Lutheran Church in North Tonawanda. He previously served the same role at Gethsemane Lutheran Church of Buffalo. Ed received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in piano with a minor in organ and voice at the State University of New York at Buffalo. During this time, he studied piano with August Martin and organ with Squire Haskin.

What drew you to music?
When I was little, I had a toy piano. I started to play by ear, and eventually started to play my cousin’s piano. When I was 10 years old my parents started piano lessons.

What classes do you teach?
Individual piano lessons

What do you love about living in Buffalo?
The people! I also like the restaurant Chef’s!

What hobbies do you enjoy outside of Community Music School?
