What drew you to music?
When I was just turning seven, I remember begging my parents to find a piano teacher. My oldest brother had been in band all throughout middle and high school, and I wanted to do everything he did… enter: piano lessons! I was very quickly involved in whatever my school and community could offer me musically: voice lessons, musicals, marching band, show choir… and knew I needed to keep music as an integral part of my life, leading me to pursue a career in music today.
What classes do you teach?
As a music therapist, I provide music therapy sessions and currently teach adaptive lessons on guitar. You can also find me in Children’s Choir!
What do you love about living in Buffalo?
Living near one of the world’s natural wonders… Josh Allen. Oh, and being 15 minutes away from Niagara Falls!
What hobbies do you enjoy outside of Community Music School?
I am a lover and friend of books— any kind! I enjoy annotating and analyzing books as I read them. I’m also a huge fan of crafting, and will embrace learning a new skill if the project calls for it! Lastly, I love to play any kind of game: video, board, card… all of it. I am a huge Nintendo kid at heart thanks to my 90’s brothers, and I have a collection of statues/figures and stuffies that has spanned almost my entire life because of it.
